Cleveland Clinic and Immune Deficiency Foundation collaborated to develop education to transform general clinicians from reactive symptom managers to proactive diagnostic detectives, enabling them to recognize hidden primary immunodeficiency (PI) patients within their existing practice, shift from a "treat-and-release" mindset to systematic pattern analysis, and initiate appropriate diagnostic workups and referral pathways that lead to life-changing diagnoses for patients who have been suffering with unrecognized immune dysfunction.
The on-demand webcast, Supporting the Unique Patient Journey, reviews the full spectrum of infectious and noninfectious manifestations of immune deficiency, examines current and emerging treatment approaches for primary immunodeficiency and its complications, and highlights resources to support informed treatment decision-making and ongoing patient care.
Learning Objectives
- Discuss the complete spectrum of symptoms that patients with immune deficiency may experience, including infectious and non-infectious clinical manifestations.
- Describe the existing and growing treatment modalities used to manage patients with primary immunodeficiency and their disease complications.
- Highlight available resources for more information regarding treatment experiences and treatment options in care for patients with immunodeficiency.
Target Audience
The online series is designed for front-line clinicians, including physicians, nurses, physician assistants, and pharmacists, of any specialty caring for patients with hidden primary immunodeficiency.
