Watch Medical Dermatology Therapy Update Webcast Series, recorded from Medical Dermatology Therapy Update III: Autoimmune, Chronic Inflammatory, and Advanced Malignant Diseases.
This CE-certified educational series offers a unique opportunity to update your knowledge and understanding of both traditional and new therapeutic strategies for a range of critically important medical dermatologic conditions, including rheumatology-dermatology overlap diseases, atopic dermatitis, advanced melanoma and other cutaneous malignancies, urticaria, sarcoidosis, hidradenitis suppurativa, autoimmune bullous disease, cutaneous lymphomas, alopecia areata, and psoriatic disease.
Learning Objectives
- Summarize strategies to optimize an interprofessional team approach to caring for patients with complex medical dermatologic diseases.
- Identify key components of clear and effective communication.
- Discuss the role of communication and power dynamics on the process of driving change.
- Examine the influential factors that contribute to persuasive communication. Examine current and future approaches to phenotyping patients and the utilization of laboratory testing in CSU.
- Describe the rationale for a Shared Medical Appointment (SMA).
- Identify the clinical situations where an SMA may be ideally implemented.
- Discuss our experience instituting the SMA for the patch testing consultation appointment.
Target Audience
The online series is designed for physicians, pharmacists, nurses, advanced practice clinicians, physician assistants, residents, fellows and allied health professionals in dermatology, immunology, oncology, rheumatology, internal medicine, family medicine, and general practice.
