About

Welcome to Addressing the Impact of the Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) and Vaccine Hesitancy. In this program, we explore the efficacy of RSV vaccines and discuss preventive strategies aimed at reducing the occurrence of severe RSV respiratory illness in infants, children, and older adults.

This program aims to:

  • Increase provider’s knowledge about the efficacy of RSV vaccines and decrease the incidence of severe RSV respiratory illness in infants and children.
  • Help prevent severe infection in infants through passive immunity gained by vaccinating pregnant women.
  • Reduce the RSV respiratory illness rate among older adults as well as the associated morbidity and mortality, by increasing knowledge of both the risks and preventive measures.
  • Increase vaccination rates among vaccine-hesitant patients by educating healthcare professionals on how to address misinformation in their patient population.
