Participate in the on-demand webcast series designed for healthcare professions to improve knowledge and competence in diagnostics and treatment of Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency (AATD). The Testing, Risk Factors and Missed Diagnosis of Alpha-1 Liver Disease webcast provides a patient testimonial and addresses the following questions:

  • When should a person be tested for Alpha-1?
  • What are the risk factors for liver disease in AATD? 
  • What are the reasons for missed diagnosis of AATD in individuals with liver disease?

Learning Objectives

  1. Apply current guidelines and recommendations for Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency testing.                                       
  2. Identify risk factors for liver disease in Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency.

Target Audience

The educational online series is designed for primary care practitioners, internal medicine physicians, pediatricians, pulmonologists, and other physicians, respiratory therapists, geneticists, and allied health care professionals treating patients with Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency.
