Overview
This symposium will highlight the current and future direction in cardiac electrophysiology (EP) practice including innovations in devices, techniques and clinical trials. Expert faculty will share their clinical perspective and experience to aid in the assessment and management of patients with commonly encountered rhythm disorders seen in daily practice, including the use of ablation for atrial fibrillation, stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation, methods for mapping ventricular arrhythmias, and lead management.
Learning Objectives
- Review the research and clinical results in catheter ablation procedures that focus on targets or drivers of the AF substrate
- Discuss the prevention of AF-related stroke and other sequelae, with an emphasis on current and evolving pharmacological and nonpharmacological therapies and evolving technologies in the field of cardiac electrophysiology
- Recognize the advances in the management of ventricular arrhythmias including VT mapping and ablation, lead management and lead extraction
Target Audience
This program is designed for, but not limited to, cardiologists, electrophysiologists, fellows, nurses, PAs and all healthcare providers involved in the care of arrhythmia patients
