Description |

Objectives |
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
- Describe the indications for IV methadone use.
- Explain the side effect profile of IV vs. oral methadone.
- Review the current guidelines for monitoring patients on IV methadone.
- Elucidate how to safely utilize IV methadone in appropriate circumstances.

This webcast is intended for physicians, nurses, social workers, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers involved with palliative care and treatment of their pain. In addition, healthcare professionals in hematology/oncology, internal medicine, family practice, and hospice care will benefit.
