Claiming Credit

I am trying to claim credit but I do not see the credit claiming link on the myCME homepage, why is this?

Answer: The credit claiming process is linked to the specific email address you used to register. Please make sure you are logging into myCME with the correct email address. If you continue having trouble, please call our help desk at 216.444.9990 and be prepared to give them the name of the activity you attended. The help desk will walk you through the process.

I am trying to claim credit for a grand rounds activity and it is asking me for an event code. Where can I find this?

Answer: This code should have been given to you at the activity or in the credit claiming instructions. Enter the code in the appropriate box in myCME and you will be granted access to claim credit and complete the evaluation for that activity. If you have misplaced your code, call our help desk at 216.444.9990.

I participated in an online activity 3 months ago and am just getting around to applying for online CME, and I notice that the activity is no longer on the website. How can I get my CME credit?

Answer: In general, you have 30 days following the activity to claim credit - credit is not available after this 30 day window. There are some exceptions. If you have a question about the process please contact support at [email protected].

I do not see my past-year CME activities on my transcript. What should I do?

Answer: Please call our help desk at 216.444.9990.

I already claimed CME but want to reprint my certificate. How do I do that?

Login to myCME and click on ‘Transcript’ (located on the grey bar). Select the checkbox next to the date/title of the activity that you are wanting to print a certificate for.  Once selection is made, click ‘Print Certificate(s)’. The certificate will then be displayed for you to print or save on your computer.  Please follow the same process to print the transcript, except select ‘Print Transcript’.

If you have a name or title change and you need this to display on your certificate, you can do this very easily by editing your profile. (See above). Once you make the necessary profile changes, all future certificates will be updated with the new information, historical certificates will not change.

When are my Maintenance of Certification points reported?

American Board of Anesthesiology, American Board of Internal Medicine, American Board of Ophthalmology, American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, American Board of Pathology, and American Board of Pediatrics: Your credit will be reported within 60 days of claiming credit after the course.

American Board of Surgery: It is the participant’s responsibility to self-report their participation to the American Board of Surgery, per board policy.

Registration

I didn’t receive my confirmation/receipt when I registered. Can you resend?

When you register online, a confirmation is sent to the email address that is provided when signing up. Please be sure to check your Junk Mail as it may have been redirected there. If you still can't find it, please call our registration department at 216.448.0777 for further assistance.

Can my spouse/relative attend the course with me?

In cases where space is not limited, guests may attend, but will need to register for the course as attendees.

What are the registration fees for the course I want to attend?

All registration fees are listed online under each particular course. If the course offers online registration, there will be a designated Registration Fees section for that course. If you cannot find this section, click on the image of the brochure for that course – this will open the brochure in your browser, and will provide you with all registration information.

Why doesn’t my password work? I may have forgotten my password, and now I can’t register.

A password may not work because it does not match the email address we have for you in our system. If you have forgotten your password, please click on the registration link, enter your email address and click the “Forgot Password” link. An email will be sent to you with instructions on how to reset your password.
