Exploring Psoriatic Arthritis: Bridging
Dermatology and Rheumatology

Print this Content

Our understanding of psoriatic arthritis relative to its natural history, pathogenesis, treatment, and clinical sequelae continues to advance and mandates that clinicians who care for these patients keep abreast of new developments along with improving clinical pathways of care. Through this educational initiative experts in dermatology and rheumatology will offer their unique perspectives on various topics. These include the identification, assessment, and treatment of psoriatic arthritis; similarities and differences in the treatment of cutaneous and musculoskeletal manifestations; how to address comorbidity and quality of life issues; and the value of collaboration between dermatologists and rheumatologists in the care of these patients. In drawing upon evidence-based guidance illustrated by case studies, participants will have an opportunity to reflect how this information may apply to their care of patients with psoriatic arthritis.
