Uveitis Update

Description
This course will review the latest treatment modalities in uveitis including the intravitreal delivery systems for long acting and short acting steroids and the various anti-tumor necrosis factor alpha agents. We will compare these new treatments to the currently accepted systemic immunosuppression regimens with steroids and nonsteroidal immunosuppressive therapy. Updates on infectious uveitis syndromes will be presented. Case presentations with emphasis on audience interaction will provide insight on how to conduct a uveitis work up and how to treat various syndromes.
Target Audience
General Ophthalmologists, Uveitis and Vitreoretinal Specialists.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
- Describe the use of nonspecific drugs including immunosuppressive therapy.
- Describe current clinical trials in ocular inflammatory diseases.
- Identify newer therapies for noninfectious posterior uveitis syndromes.
- Discuss evaluation and treatment of patients with uveitis.

In case of cancellation, a full refund will be made if cancelled by 3/19/10. After that date, a $25 cancellation fee will be deducted from your refund. Written notification or e-mail of your cancellation is required in order to process your refund. No refunds will be issued after 4/2/10.
