Overview

This symposium is designed to present the most recent information on clinical practice issues facing anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists. A diverse faculty will provide up-to-date data on various issues related to surgical and obstetric anesthesia.

Learning activities will be presented in a number of presentation styles, including traditional lectures, workshops, and case discussions. All activities will be conducted within the attractive facilities of the host hotel and with the active participation of the anesthesiology departments of the Cleveland Clinic main campus and the Weston, Florida campus.

Objectives

As a result of attending the symposium, the participant will be able to:

  • Identify new information regarding anesthetic management for patients undergoing cardiac surgery.
  • Present issues for anesthesia management of patients during coronary and aortic stent procedures.
  • Identify new techniques for ultrasound and transesophageal echocardiography.
  • Present current information for obstetric anesthesia.
  • Discuss current anesthetic management issues for patients undergoing cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgery and anesthesia.
  • Describe current techniques for cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Pre-registrations are accepted by fax or online until 2:00 pm ET October 28, 2009. To register after this date, you must do so on-site.

In case of cancellation, a $50 cancellation fee will be deducted from your refund if cancelled by SEPTEMBER 28, 2009. After SEPTEMBER 28, 2009, a $150 cancellation fee will be deducted from your refund. Written notification of your cancellation is required to process your refund.

NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED AFTER OCTOBER 31, 2009.
