Description
The Cardiovascular Disease in Inflammatory Arthritis: Getting to the Heart of the Matter Symposium held on May 6, 2009 in Cleveland, Ohio, was captured and repurposed into a webcast series. This educational activity is designed to increase practitioners’ knowledge of the biology and management strategies of cardiovascular disease associated with inflammatory arthritis, with the ultimate goal of improving the care of these patients.
Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
- Compare and contrast the pros and cons of different noninvasive imaging techniques used to measure coronary atherosclerosis.
- Define the value of noninvasive imaging techniques in predicting risk for adverse cardiovascular events in patients with rheumatoid disease.
- Describe the practical application of these noninvasive techniques in patients with rheumatoid disease.
Target Audience
This activity is designed to increase rheumatologists’, cardiologists’, and other interested healthcare professionals’ knowledge of the biology and management strategies of cardiovascular disease associated with inflammatory arthritis, with the ultimate goal of improving the care of these patients.
