Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

1. Review temperature monitoring and normal thermoregulation.
2. Describe the effects of general anesthesia on thermoregulation.
3. Explain the effects of neuraxial anesthesia on thermoregulation.

This activity is intended for anesthesiologists and other physicians and nurses caring for perioperative and critical-care patients.
