Call for Abstracts

Cleveland Clinic Orthopaedic & Rheumatology Care Quality Innovations Summit invites you to submit abstracts or original investigations for consideration in the Poster Session and possible Short Talk Podium Presentations.

Abstract categories include:

Accepted abstracts will be published in the syllabus.

Deadline

Abstract submissions must be received no later than April 15, 2009.

Submission Instructions

Abstracts must be submitted by email to Carolyn Jirousek at jirousc@ccf.org. The 1-page abstract should be submitted as a Microsoft Word attachment using no smaller than an 11-point font size.

Abstract Style Instructions

  • Figures, graphs, and simple tables are allowed
  • Use of standard abbreviations is desirable; place unusual abbreviations in parentheses after first use of the full term

Abstract Policies

  • Abstracts must be RECEIVED BY March 1, 2009.
  • Abstracts must be submitted by email to Carolyn Jirousek at jirousc@ccf.org.
  • There is no limit to the number of abstracts an investigator may submit.
  • If an error is found on an abstract submitted before March 1, 2009, the author may request in writing to withdraw the abstract. A new abstract may be submitted if received by the March 1, 2009 deadline.
  • Any trial with human subjects must conform to the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki of the World Medical Association (Clinical Research 1992;40(4):653-60).
  • The Program Committee endorses the position of the American Association for the Advancement for Science in requiring assurances of the responsible use of animals in research. All submissions must ensure compliance with the appropriate guidelines.

Presenting authors will be notified of acceptance by e-mail.
Submitters will be notified of acceptance or rejection via e-mail by March 15, 2009.

Poster Presentations

If your abstract is accepted, your acceptance notice will indicate your poster assignment number. Posters will be displayed on vertical display boards. Poster size is limited to 32 inches wide x 50 inches high (81.28 cm width x 127 cm length/height). Text and illustrations must be readable from at least 3 feet. Push pins will be available on-site.

Podium Presentations

A limited number of posted abstracts will be selected for a “Short Talk” (15 min) podium presentation in Session 7. If your abstract is selected for a podium presentation, your acceptance notice will indicate instructions regarding the session and time allotted for your presentation.
