Self-Assessment Workshop

Description
This advanced dermatopathology workshop will be devoted to the study of 50 unknown microscopic slides using a self-assessment approach of multiple choice and single answer questions. A discussion will follow, which will include the case description, diagnosis, differential considerations, and pertinent comments about each disease. Emphasis will be placed on benign and malignant skin tumors, bullous diseases and inflammatory dermatoses. An interactive computer system will be employed to assist audience participation in the discussion.
Target Audience
Dermatologists, Pathologists, Dermatopathologists, Oral Pathologists, and Interested Physicians.
Learning Objectives
After completing this learning activity, the participant will be able to do the following:
- Analyze the broad spectrum of disorders in dermatopathology.
- Recommend an approach to the unknown which will assist in the final diagnosis.
- Cite specific features and differential diagnoses.
- Demonstrate advances and their application to diagnosis.
